Moreover, man is an animal, and at the end of the day he can’t help but giving in to his primal destructive instincts. One, in my opinion deeply profound line from a famous Bosnian / Yugoslavic movie named “Ovo malo duše” has been with me ever since I heard it for the first time. It goes like this:

Čovjek ti je, Senada, teški hajvan. I ono malo duše što ima, šejtan mu je dao da mu bude teže…

Very, very roughly translated to English:

Man is, Senada (a female name), a true animal. Even that little piece of soul he possesses, has been given to him by the devil to make his life/existence so much more difficult…
